They mostly follow orders since they usually comprise of mercs and robots, but if things get to dangerous, such as entering an especially infested ghoul cave or deathclaw nest, they'll ditch ya. These followers will usually follow you no matter what, whether you're good, evil, or neutral yourself. Here's how I would have it when it comes to morality: I think something like what I listed below would be interesting. Like if they were from different races like in mass effect. I like how Fallout makes it so that armor is a full body thing that increases damage resistance as a whole because that makes more sense. In most RPG games, armor is usually divided into helmet, cuirass, leggings, gauntlets, and boots with each piece increasing protection as a whole, which is unrealistic.
